Teeth whitening is one of the most commonly requested cosmetic dental treatments here at Chagrin Falls Dental. Why is it so popular? It might be because we make it so affordable (more on that below!), but there’s also the fact that almost everyone has stains, yellowing, or other discolorations on their teeth at some point in their lives. These may be caused by the normal aging process, coffee and other foods and beverages that stain, tobacco use, or even certain medications. Luckily, teeth whitening is effective, non-invasive, and you can achieve professional results in the comfort of your own home. Read on for some of the most frequently asked questions patients have about teeth whitening.
What does teeth whitening cost in Ohio?
We provide our patients with free teeth whitening if they join our Whitening for Life program. With this program, you’ll pay a one-time membership fee of $129 and sign an agreement to stay up-to-date with your preventive care appointments and always provide our office with at least 24 hours notice when an appointment needs to be rescheduled. Adhere to these two guidelines and you’ll receive complimentary teeth whitening and touch-up kits for as long as you’re a patient at our practice.
What is the best whitener for your teeth?
We choose to offer two of the best teeth whitening options available—both Opalescence Go and custom whitening trays are effective solutions for a brighter smile. Choosing which is right for you comes down to your personal preferences. For a no-muss, no-fuss option, choose Opalescence Go, which uses pre-filled whitening trays to make the process more convenient. For a customized fit, our whitening trays are made just for you, so they fit nicely onto your teeth for maximum comfort. We’re happy to help you choose which is best for your needs at your next appointment.
Is professional teeth whitening worth it?
Professional teeth whitening is definitely worth it. You’ll get superior results compared to store-bought teeth whitening options because the products used are stronger and work faster. While over-the-counter solutions are best for mild surface stains, professional teeth whitening can tackle more serious discoloration.
Is teeth whitening covered by dental insurance?
Unfortunately, teeth whitening is a cosmetic treatment, so it’s not covered by dental insurance. That’s why we’ve chosen to make it more accessible to our patients through our Whitening for Life program.
What is the safest form of teeth whitening?
Professional teeth whitening and over-the-counter whitening solutions that carry the ADA seal are the only solutions that have been proven safe when used as directed. Other products may damage your tooth enamel or cause irritation to your gums and soft tissues.
How long does teeth whitening last?
With our Whitening for Life program, your teeth whitening will last as long as you remain a member because you’ll get unlimited touch-up kits!
